Okotoks Pedestrian Bridge

Okotoks, Alberta

A recently completed design build project in Okotoks, Alberta, the replacement of the Laurie Boyd pedestrian bridge was designed to provide a safe area for the local community to walk across, especially in the evening. The bridge also allows emergency vehicle access.

To maintain a country feel, the design was completed using a soft amber light that falls only on the bridge with no light spill to the surrounding area. The amber light chosen is wildlife friendly to not affect their natural behaviour.
