When it comes to life safety, only the best will do. Unitech is a member of the Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFFA), and one of their Senior Project Managers is a member of the Alberta chapter CFAA board of directors. To put it simply, Unitech takes fire safety responsibilities and capacities very seriously.
Unitech’s employees are certified to install and maintain fire alarm systems, as outlined in the Apprentice and Industry Training Act โ Electrical Trade Regulations 274/2000. They are also allowed to provide “Test & Maintenance Service” on fire alarm systems in accordance with the CAN/ULC S536-13.
In addition Unitech is able to provide fire alarm troubleshooting and diagnosis. This has proven invaluable to building owners and managers alike, especially with the stringent enforcement of fire codes by both Fire Departments and Alberta Building Code inspectors.
Unitech is completely conversant with the fully addressable and VESDA technology that is available in the Fire Alarm market place, and has successfully installed numerous large systems for major clients, including Government penitentiaries to high profile performing arts centers. And due to their knowledge and vast experience have been assigned the role of Prime Contractor on various large institutional fire alarm projects.
